Tips for Citation Generator
The DOI is the string starting with 10. on a paper's page, or in the URL after doi.org. The URL of the article page itself usually does not work; use the DOI.
Crossref metadata is publisher-supplied and occasionally has wrong capitalization. Glance over each entry, and check final formatting against your campus style guide.
APA uses sentence case for titles while Crossref often stores title case; adjust if your reviewer is strict.

Frequently Asked Questions
Where does the metadata come from?
From Crossref for DOIs and from the arXiv API for preprints. Both are the official public registries publishers feed directly, which is why a DOI lookup is more reliable than typing the reference by hand.
Which citation styles are supported?
APA 7, IEEE, and Harvard, the three styles most Indonesian universities and international journals ask for. Switching the style chip reformats your entire saved list instantly.
Is my reference list uploaded or stored on a server?
No. The list lives in your browser's local storage on this device. The lookup request sends only the DOI or arXiv id you paste. Use Download .txt to move the list to another computer.
Why was my DOI not found?
Most often the DOI has a typo, or it belongs to a publisher that has not registered complete metadata with Crossref yet. Search the paper on the publisher's site, copy the DOI again, or add the source through the manual form.
How do I cite a website with no author?
Use the manual form with the organization as author and the page title as title. APA and Harvard then lead with the title; IEEE leads with the quoted title. Check your style guide for the exact convention your campus follows.
Does it do in-text citations too?
The list it builds is the bibliography. For in-text citations, APA uses (Family, year), IEEE uses [n] matching the numbered list, and Harvard uses (Family, year) with page numbers for quotes; match the numbers of your copied IEEE list.
